Peak Psychological Services
Don’t Just Feel Better, Get Better
It’s time to make a change and start living instead of surviving.
When you are suffering, you may feel like you aren’t living a life worth living. You may feel overwhelmed and think there is nothing you can do to get better and stay better. But, you are here, looking for solutions, and Peak Psychological Services can help.
Peak Psychological Services is not your pre-conceived notion of therapy. That image you have in your head of lying on a couch, venting your problems to a stranger is not what I do. I provide counseling to treat the underlying issues of your problem, helping you to move past your suffering and find long-term relief.
What I do is called evidence-based treatment.
It is a scientific practice that has been shown to be effective at treating difficulties such as PTSD and depression. The science behind the treatment is tested and proven, but what you need to know is that it can work for you and change your life.
My approach is not a day at the beach, but let’s face it, you aren’t exactly having fun right now. Together we are going to do the most important work that you will ever do. You’ll end the cycle of suffering and achieve the life that you were meant to live. You’ll start enjoying family, friends, experiences, careers, and everything in between.
What is evidence-based treatment? It is treatment based on research and scientific studies that has been shown to be effective for the specific difficulty that you are seeking help for.
I treat trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and related difficulties.
I do not specialize in everything. Why? Because focusing on specific disorders makes me better at helping you. Your treatment shouldn’t be like a buffet. Variety with no specialty is rarely effective at treating problems and shouldn’t your treatment be specific to your experience?
You are likely already beating yourself up and focusing on all the things you believe are wrong with you. That is not what I focus on. In fact, some of the things that make you prone to depression and anxiety often contribute to what makes you unique. My aim is to help you tap into these unique gifts in ways that will contribute to living your life to the fullest.
Contrary to what people may think about counseling providers, I don’t want to work with you forever! My goal is to get you better and not just temporarily. I want you to heal and to equip you with the tools you need to stay happy and healthy.
