She takes an evidence-based approach to therapy but recognizes the importance of establishing a safe, trusted, supportive and respectful relationship. Through a fine balance of compassion, humor, and telling it like it is, she guides clients through individual reflection, change and growth so they can reach their potential and goals. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. Utilizing a trauma-informed, client-centered, and strength-based perspective, she helps those trying to cope with trauma, stress, anxiety, grief, depression, and life transitions.
Originally from the Chicago area, but now living in Colorado for 30 years, she still misses the Midwest cold and snow. When not working, she enjoys walking, doing puzzles, and hosting get-togethers for friends. Most important is the quality time spent with her spouse and 3 fur babies (2 Chihuahuas and 1 Beagle), usually hanging in the backyard or all curled up binge-watching some TV series.
